DescriptionThe Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim is a non-profit organization that provides a safe environment for kids after school. We have members from the age of 5 through 18 and each day the children receive specialized programming, hot meals, and mentors. Our mission is to "Enable all young people, especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens." We live true to this mission statement and we are consistently seeking out interns to assist us as we move forward in this.
We are looking for a Grant Research specialist. The Grant Research Specialist is responsible for researching grants that apply to our organization's mission and needs. He/she will be responsible for the up-keeping of our grant calendar and making sure we are meeting deadlines.
Research Specialist must:
- Identify funding opportunities and new program areas to match our needs
-Research available and applicable grants for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Anaheim
-Research background material for grant proposals
-Submit grant information to grant calendar
-File grant information
-Sort/ organize grants
Requirements*Proficient in computer Skills (Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Proficient in writing and reading skills
*Proficient in research
