Description

Our objective: to identify all of Ireland's hereditary ecclesiastical families and publish that research.

Update: 10/13/2016. Over the course of the last 3 years, we have completed data collection in all the surviving medieval Irish annals which were compiled in Gaelic monasteries outside the Pale. We move now to cross-checking our data against the indexes of the medieval Papal Registers. Want to sink your teeth into primary source material which will give you startling insight into medieval Ireland? Come join us!

Druid Press is a tiny American publisher of books of Irish interest. See www.irishtribes.com . I'm looking for interns to help with historical research. The current research project involves examination of the medieval Irish Annals and cross-checking against the medieval Papal Registers. The expected completion date for this project is late 2016,

This is part-time, on-line, and subject to the intern's personal schedule. I think you'll find this interesting.

Responsibilities

Building the company's product line of books about the history and language of Ireland.

Requirements

No experience necessary. Candidates should be college students, especially history majors, skilled in internet use. Knowledge of (or interest in) Irish Gaelic culture is a definite plus.
