Retail stationery and paper store specializing in custom designed invitations and day-of items, particularly for weddings, mitzvahs, corporate events, etc. If you're interested in retail, graphic design and/or production, have an eye for style and color, and enjoy working with a variety of people, we'd like to talk to you.
Simply put, everybody here does everything: Production and assembly of custom orders, front-end sales, cash drawer management, inventory ordering for retail and custom orders, layout and design of in-house and custom stationery, customer service and communication. We make anything - you'll learn practical applications of classroom theory. Project planning and completion. Interaction with clients, vendors and suppliers in person, on the phone and via electronic media.
Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and/or CorelDraw is preferred. Familiarity with MS Word or WordPerfect, Excel, and social media is a plus. Our interns need to be flexible and have a positive attitude along with a willingness to learn. Interpersonal skills are a must. Candidates should show drive, self-direction and self-motivation. Minimum 15 hours per week. Graphic design students and those in creative, retail, or management oriented disciplines will benefit from the experience.
