Come join our team. Kalaki Riot is a handcrafted jewelry line based in NYC. We are growing fast and looking for sharp and savvy individuals to join us on our journey as we tackle our big goals for 2015.
Internships are unpaid (school credit can be earned) so this is perfect for the candidate who is looking for credit, wants to add to/build their portfolio, or wants to learn the ins-and-outs of a business in hopes of starting their own business soon.
ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for someone to sell our brand in the following capacities:
o Assist with wholesale accounts by scouting prospective retailers in-line with the brand (e-commerce and brick & mortar businesses both domestic and abroad)
• Media & Press
o Maintain and grow list of new and existing publication contacts to pitch brand stories for interviews/articles and product features (gift guides, editorial spreads, etc.)
o Assist owner in outreach
• Bloggers & Influencers
o Research bloggers and influencers (including stylists) to reach out to and coordinate collaborations, giveaways, product features
RequirementsInterns can work virtually/remotely but must have the ability to Skype.
Interns must have their own equipment where applicable (cameras: DSLR or iPhone, personal laptop, etc.) depending on project.
Ideal candidates are entrepreneurially-minded self-starters. We look for people who are super organized and resourceful- they are comfortable working remotely, have a sense of accountability and ownership of results. We seek talent that craves learning new skills and aren't afraid to tackle big projects.
Candidates who like to take their time with their work and do not thrive in fast-paced environments need not apply.
