Alchemy Detroit designs luxury basics for hardworking career women, stay at home moms, young professionals, and mature matriarchs. Born in Detroit, our made in America brand is committed to reviving classic American craftsmanship for women with an exceptional line of blazers, Italian jersey tees, and cashmere scarves.

Heading into our second selling season, we are excited about growing the brand both online and in wholesale. We are looking for part-time interns to work directly with the founder. Preferred interns to be located in Southeast Michigan but a Detroit location is not required. This is a four month commitment.

Social Media & Marketing Intern:​ Current undergraduate with strong interest in Public Relations and Marketing.

We are seeking a​n intern who is passionate about fashion to take on all social media channels, actively reach out to bloggers and social media influencers, and other key responsibilities related to photo shoots, research and development, and e-commerce.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing creative content and publish through various social media channels including Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and more

Interact and engage with audiences to grow online presence, i.e., electronic and print magazines

Measure and report growth and engagement of social media initiatives

Identify industry influencers and bloggers to connect with on social media, i.e., relevant wardrobe stylists, stylists and publicists, photographers, producers and relevant bloggers

Continuously explore new and existing social platforms, services and tools to increase reach and engagement

Create email blasts to customers

Help with influencer outreach and relations

Assist in planning and execution of marketing promotions, partnerships and influencer campaigns

Assist with special projects and events as needed

Assist in managing community relations through social media

Assist in securing PR coverage

Opportunity to attend local, regional, and national fashion trade shows

Requirements

Should have an interest in social media and keep active profiles on large social media platforms.

Proficient in all MS Office programs.

Experience with Photoshop.

Driven to work in an entrepreneurial environment

Must have a positive and energetic attitude

A self-motivated, multi-tasking, creative problem solver

Strong communication and organizational skills

High-level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to commit a minimum of 4 months and at least 2 days a week, 1 day in office and one remotely
