Description

Marjory Warren is a legacy clothing store that was first established in New York City's Upper East Side in the 1980's. Carrying conscientiously-sourced brands such as Flax, Tianello, Citron, URU and Wallaroo, as well as a number of well-curated gifts and sundries -many hand made by local artists- Marjory Warren's direction has expanded in recent years to include carefully-sourced vintage and consignment items. We are a relaxed, fun and unpretentious establishment that seeks to include all women as members of our community and store.

Currently, we are expanding our online presence through a series of marketing initiatives, all of which require corresponding cross-platform social media support. The desired candidate will receive social media as well as email marketing training, and will be given the opportunity to curate and publish their own social media content. In addition, the intern will be trained and assist in a number of retail-focused processes, including inventory, buying, and photographing merchandise.

Hours are flexible, and remote work is possible. Finding a well motivated, hard working individual who is committed to the philosophy and vision of our store is our priority. We will work on a schedule once you are on-boarded.

Remember that Marjory Warren is a small business, so though you will *never* be asked to fetch coffee or run errands on anyone's behalf, we will expect you to pitch in with group efforts, including but not limited to changing store displays, curating seasonal collections, etc.

Finally, Marjory Warren is a fun, relaxed and accepting environment. We want you to learn many things while you're in our shop, but we also want you to have fun!

Because this is an internship we want to make the experience worth it for you, too! Therefore, we're happy to identify your areas of interest as well and map out a plan that allows you to hone them within the context of our small business.
