Description

Xpress U, a new apparel company, is looking for a creative social media intern to join their team. Xpress U embraces the value of individualistic expressions and displays this through creative sayings on t-shirts and other apparel and gifts. Xpress U carries this thought from the products it sells to its business operations. The social media intern is responsible for establishing an overall social media strategy to expand the social media presence of Xpress U.

Responsibilities

Social Media Content Development:
• Create an editorial calendar for all social media channels including (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, blog);
• Generate ideas, ensure alignment with social media strategies and best practices; and
• Contribute creative concept ideas for highly engaging digital experiences.

Social Media Community Management:
• Develop social media policies and and community management guidelines;
• Develop innovative strategies to drive traffic to social media pages and engage our audiences;
• Draft appropriate responses to public commentary in a timely manner, especially in cases of negative sentiment and/or social media communication crises; and
• Promote best practices and stay up-to-date on changes in the social media space.

Social Media Reporting:
• Compile comprehensive reports on social media performance;
• Compile weekly community management reports that captures moderation activity; and
• Analyze social media page performance and make appropriate adjustments to reach social media performance goals.

Requirements

• Experience and success with social media for business purposes (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, etc.);
• Experience and success with driving follower growth and engagement;
• Experience writing, building and optimizing social media content;
• Experience analyzing social media metrics;
• Proven ability to work with multiple teams (creative, web)
• Highly attentive to detail;
• Strong organizational skills to oversee numerous projects at once;
• Strong verbal communication skills; and
• Strong editing and writing skills.
