Digital Media Sales is not only rewarding but can be a lucrative career for the right person; total compensation packages can exceed $200,000 (Ad Age article: Hire a Digital Sales Person). This internship will teach you how to work brands and companies, to target a specific audience, and create a media strategy to reach them through display advertising, email, video, mobile, social media, custom content experiences, events and more.


Internship RESPONSIBILITIES include:
• Learn the digital media sales process form lead generation to campaign recap
• To learn and study media offerings (display, video, social media, content, content experiences, etc.)
• Generate leads for possible advertising opportunities
• Pre-qualify and research leads then work with sales team to set up meeting(s) via phone or email.
• Work with sales team to create sales presentations via PowerPoint and Word
• With direction manage and create content for the company’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn).
• Add and manage connections in CRM (making sure all is kept up to date).


Internship REQUIREMENTS include:
• MUST have own, reliable laptop with MS Office, cellular phone with unlimited call/text plan and vehicle
• 0-2+ years of experience in digital or traditional advertising/marketing
• Excellent understanding of key customer satisfaction drivers
• Strong interest in online research
• Strong ability to communicate via phone or email – must be okay with heavy phone calling
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proficient experience with Social Media: Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Blogging
• Well versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
