DescriptionAcocella Law Group, P.C. is a law firm located in Woodbury, NY. Our firm is dedicated to assisting clients who have fallen behind on their mortgage and need help getting back on track. Clients come to us in all stages of foreclosure. Some come as a last resort when they are just about to lose their home, while others know that they won't be able to make next month's mortgage payment and they're terrified. Others just received their first court notice and need guidance.
Unfortunately even though there are government programs established to help these troubled homeowners, some of our clients tried this on their own before coming to us. They found the process difficult, time consuming and frustrating to navigate through. They came to us because they failed to get any relief or because they were getting nowhere.
Fortunately for most of our clients, we are quite successful in what we do. Clients find that they are in good hands and know from experience that we are focused on achieving a favorable outcome for them. For that reason clients become clients by calling us or by being referred to us by their friends or family who have had previous success with us. We never need to "cold call" or solicit anyone.
Our office consists of personable, caring professionals who truly enjoy helping others and making a difference. It is more than just a job to us. We're personally invested! When we postpone a client's sale on their home, we're as relieved as our clients are! We share in their excitement. We feel the sense of relief as it washes over them when they find out that they were approved for a modification. They will not lose their home now. The nightmare is over. They are no longer in foreclosure! It's an incredible experience knowing that we made a difference! There's nothing like it.

So what does it take to be a part of our Firm? It takes a special skill set to be successful here. Caring about others is first and foremost. Empathy and understanding is essential - enough so that you know that these clients tend to be very anxious and frustrated. The ability to communicate in a clear, direct, but friendly manner, is also as important as being able to know when to be supportive and when to be firm. Needless to say, in this process the paperwork and supporting documentation required is extensive and ongoing. Therefore the ability to remain organized and to effectively multi-task is critical. Being detail oriented is also key as our goal is to avoid mistakes and get it right the first time.

You will have hands on experience with our relationship managers as they interact with prospective clients to procure specific documents necessary to become a client of the Firm. ResponsibilitiesDepending on your assigned relationship managers - Reviewing incoming documentation, calling/emailing/mailing prospective clients for documents, putting together "packages", completing paperwork, copying, filing, etc. Filling in for receptionist and directing calls/taking messages. If time permits, helping the processing department and/or accounting department.
RequirementsCandidate must possess strong administrative and organizational skills to assist relationship managers in procuring documents from prospective clients. Light receptionist work at times. Clear speaking voice is necessary. Fluent in Spanish is a plus. Computer skills is a must. Smart Casual Attire (no sneakers/t-shirts/jeans).
Must be able to provide own transportation to and from the office and be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. For the right candidate this can be a year round position.
