Melissa Odabash is looking for new interns! This is an amazing internship opportunity with a high-end, contemporary swim, resort and dress line, for college students or recent grads, who are interested in building their experience in the fashion industry. Candidates will be working for the Head of Sales and Marketing in the following areas: interacting with upscale buyers/retailers, press coordination in NYC showroom, scheduling appointments, assisting in tradeshow organization, preparing marketing materials to be sent out to industry contacts, conducting market research, preparing samples for client meetings, inputting orders, creating sales reports and basic administrative assistance.


-Research new target clients via competitive sites, online. This data will be used to identify potential stores via compiling brands carried on retailer websites.
-Sending and tracking samples to magazine publications.
-Assist in placing orders into computer system. Organize orders by fully complete and partially complete and noting corrections to be made either to the order or the system.
-Reviewing weekly inventory reports and cross referencing to immediate order/ reorder requests by clients to increase sales.
-Running weekly backorder reports and compare to inventory to make sure orders are filled.
-Assist in communication to clients of late orders, out of stock items and substitutions available in inventory.
-Assist in NY showroom appointments with clients and press editors.
-Prepare and send look book mailings to current and new clients.
-Contribute in creating and updating sell thru reports which are analyzed to increase reorders in a timely fashion.
-Assist in tradeshow organization in areas such as scheduling appointments, contacting tradeshow representatives, arranging travel, researching necessary details needed for each show (furniture, models, etc.), follow-up on important dates and tasks from Exhibitor’s manual.
-Assist in tradeshow: Organization of booth, receptionist, errands, and customer assistance.
-Organizing and filing important paperwork and orders.

While position does permit a flexible schedule, candidate should be available to commit a minimum of 20 - 25 hours a week and possibly more during busy periods. We are open to hiring college students enrolled in fashion or marketing related programs if their class schedule does permit. If credit is needed, we will fill out any necessary paperwork.

Car is an asset.

This position will reimburse out of pocket approved expenses. There is no hourly salary. Candidate may have the opportunity to travel with all expenses paid and will have the opportunity to work with an exquisite line that receives press in top publications and is sold at well known luxury retailers. This is an excellent opportunity to build your resume. Salary for trade shows and new account commission!


We are looking for individuals who are self motivated and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, provide exceptional customer service to our clients, communicate over the phone, and be very organized. Must possess great communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Photoshop is a plus. Detail oriented and has a sense of creativity. Some type of fashion/marketing background is necessary but knowledge of the contemporary to designer market is helpful and experience in a luxury retail setting is a plus. Must be comfortable in home office environment and able to commute easily to NYC 2-3 days/week when needed.
