POSITION INFORMATION
We are entering into a period of rapid growth and are looking for a driven intern to work mainly in a sales setting. The Business Development/Sales Intern will help DG&A grow and expand by reaching new clients. Business Development/Sales Interns are responsible for developing new and existing business avenues for DG&A. They also may work with other departments in DG&A, including recruiting and research, operations, marketing strategies, etc.

Unpaid/School-Credit; Opportunities to grow with company following the successful completion of the internship

DURATION OF INTERNSHIP
Flexible start & end dates; open to part- and full-time interns. Minimum of a three month duration and at least 15 hours/week. We will coordinate with the right candidate to create a weekly work schedule.

START DATE
ASAP – Immediate openings available

Responsibilities

• Obtain new business and gain opportunities to introduce DG&A services, utilize avenues including networking, cold calling, telemarketing, and making presentations
• Schedule business development meetings and phone conferences for CEO and Business Development management team
• Ensure management is prepared and has resources needed for business development calls
• Update and develop prep materials for DG&A management
• Conduct preliminary due diligence and market research on prospective clients
• Build relationships with prospective client companies
• Enhance firm's visibility and raise public awareness
• Respond to and follow up inquiries by email and telephone

Requirements

• Current (or recent) undergrad or graduate student who is majoring in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Students who have completed a minimum of two years preferred.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work load-with effective independent follow-up
• A competitor with an internal desire to not lose
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities


• Excellent organizational, planning, and proofreading skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Relationship building skills
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism under pressure
• Understanding of customer service principles and success factors
• Understanding of professional diversity recruitment industry
• Skilled/proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and the technological skill to work with a customer relationship management application
