Description

The IHG Academy is about working with a local community organization or educational institution to provide skills development and job opportunities in hospitality for people in the local community. With hotels in 100 countries and territories, IHG has a huge opportunity to make a real difference to people in thousands of local communities. You can be part of that through the IHG Academy. The program will last 1 quarter or 1 semester depending on the institutions system.

Responsibilities

- Work with front desk staff to learn reservation system and customer service skills
-Work with Sales staff to understand sales process, negotiation and the IHG way of sales
-Work with housekeeping staff to understand the day to day operations of extended stay business
-Learn "STAR" report and other financial reports to maximize profit

Requirements

- Understand the Candlewood culture and how to implement goals
- Possess skills at assessing issues, defining solutions, and implementing strategy
- Perform well in environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization
