DescriptionThe position involves contacting local companies to book groups for performances at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret. We are a 120-seat theatre located in the world-renowned Chanhassen Dinner Theatre complex in the Twin Cities. The Marketing & Group Sales Assistant works directly with the Executive Director of Stevie Ray’s Improv Company to plan and execute programs to increase group sales for the cabaret.
This is an unpaid position, but if the intern is successful in developing an ongoing program there is a possibility of this becoming a full-time paid position.
Applicants must be highly self-directed and comfortable working with executive level individuals in corporations and organizations.
Applicants will use e-mail and phone to contact companies, social & business organizations, high schools, etc. to book groups to attend performances. The work may also involve personal meetings with contacts.
Applicants must have:
1) A minimum of three years of undergraduate education
2) Own a computer and be proficient in basic computer operations
3) Own a car
4) Be able to work from home
5) Devote 10-15 hours per week to the position
