We are looking for someone interested in developing basic sales skills (phone confidence, listening, quick thinking). We offer a fairly relaxed environment to focus on basic skills without a lot of pressure to reach quotas and convince people who don't have a sincere need. This opportunity would be a good match for someone who wants Sales experience as a way to round out business experiences but is not looking for a career in Sales, someone who isn't driven by commissions but instead driven to help prospects achieve their goals and ambitions.

Most of our internships are unpaid and we do not offer commission on sales, but since this position generates revenue directly we will have a "bonus" program for hard work and faithfully and accurately representing the company in contacts with prospects. If the commision-free selling appeals to you and you excel at it there is likely to be an opportunity to lead our Sales efforts as the company grows and looks to create such a position. This would be a secure salaried position with a similar bonus program.

Our core product, Communifire, is changing the game for an organization's communications by bringing together all of a company's employees, customers, and members inside an enterprise social network and collaboration space.

Responsibilities

Manage prospects
Demo software, answer questions
Reach out (cold call) organizations whose members could benefit from our collaborative community software

Requirements

comfort with technology (learn quickly, strong intuition about potential uses)
comfort talking with people on the phone
