Our office in Fairfax, VA, currently has positions available on our business-to-business sales and marketing team. The primary responsibility of the Sales Intern is to develop new business by assertively identifying, pursuing and closing sales opportunities. Our Interns work closely with a mentor and senior level associates.
Interns will work with employers to install our Section 125 / Cafeteria plan programs and supplemental benefits into their employee benefit packages. We have existing accounts you will be working with while also working to increase accounts in your areas.
ResponsibilitiesInterns will be provided with hands on experience in all areas of corporate sales and sales management.
Interns will attend sales meetings and extensive training sessions in order to prepare them for positions in our management team.
Interns will partake in the management of existing accounts while also working to create new accounts.
The primary duties will include, but not be limited to, lead development and tracking, initial contact, follow-up, prospect surveys, and customer relations.
AFLAC's comprehensive management training program and name recognition, combined with the practical experience gained through this internship, will set individuals a step ahead of their peers on a path to successful management careers.
Individuals must exhibit above average verbal communication skills, individual drive, ability to take initiative, a strong work ethic, & the desire to continuously excel.
