With this internship, you will gain sales and marketing experience with those industries that you love in the "City" the most! The City Insight is seeking motivated Account Executives with general to mid-level knowledge in marketing & sales. They should feel comfortable conversing with movers and shakers, and of course businesses. You will be on an enthused team excited about a company that has major growth projections for 2014. We have a print magazine located at 400+ locations in 9 cities of the Triangle, North Carolina market as well as websites, that were recently launched andwill be emerging on a larger scale with the expansion. There will be opportunity for growth within the company as we serve the communities and cover those organizations and people that make up city living.

The City Insight is a non-traditional media company that believes in engaging its readers, while delivering strategic solutions for small-to-large scale businesses. When sales goals are met or exceeded, bonuses and other incentives will be offered to account executives; however, due to the fact this is an internship, the City Insight would put earnings in an escrow to be distributed after the internship period. Also there will be part time and full time positions offered to those who have met or exceeded goals set forth. The City Insight's mission is to create part/full time employment opportunities not only in the Triangle, but other markets as well. Account Executives will be able to work from home or in the office (located in Raleigh). We are looking for self starters who want to learn about sales, marketing, public relations, a strong work ethic, is professional, a team player, a leader, and has a strong drive to succeed.

The sales and marketing team should be able to work with businesses to solidify advertisements in City Insight's print magazine, (5) City Insight websites, banner ads, business directories, coupon and deals management accounts, text/email and social marketing, and other forms of marketing and advertising solutions. The City Insight covers everything dealing with city living, such as culinary & dining, health & wellness, entertainment, and education, just to name a few, so the market is wide open and there are plenty of strategies created as well.


Utilizing the Editorial Calendar and seeking relative businesses to be promoted around them. Executing marketing strategies. Potential clients will consist of warm and cold leads on a regular basis, but with cold calling there will be a set strategy. There will also be email, phone and personal contact with clients or potential clients. Additionally, an Account Executive will have "full staff" support from others, which will assist with closing sales margins for various initiatives.


Account Executive applicants must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to be considered for this position. A computer/laptop is also a requirement.
