Responsibilities

As a Solar Sales Consultant you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the company by customizing the design of each customer’s solar system to meet that customer’s unique needs. You will consult with pre-screened customers during pre-booked appointments set up by Outside Sales Canvassers. You will provide compelling energy solutions that Save Energy, Save the Environment and Save Money. A major part of your consultation will be to gather data to deliver to the design system.


Other responsibilities of the Consultant role include:
- Conducting 1-3 In-Home Solar Consultations per day
- Building trust and rapport with prospective customers
- Demonstrating uncompromising customer service
- Conducting accurate in-home needs assessments and corresponding analysis
- Delivering outstanding presentations that create a high sense of urgency to act now
- Resolving concerns and eliminate obstacles
- Following up on pipeline and post-sale logistics
- Generating additional revenue through networking and referrals
- Attending company and departmental meetings as directed
- Participating in ongoing training, development and certifications
- Partnering with cross-functional departments to accomplish mutual objectives
- Communicating and sharing best practices
- This position involves a large amount of travel

Work From Home – Outside Sales Representative – Business Development

Requirements

In the Solar Sales Consultant role, you must have a great attitude and drive to succeed. You must be highly flexible, entrepreneurial and able to embrace modifications in business needs in a challenging environment. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about what we do – selling solar energy and saving people money. Qualified candidates are innovative and strategic business development professionals who are honest and able to earn trust and build confidence with customers. You must be highly determined, proactive, motivated, hardworking and able to communicate the big picture in an inspiring way.

Other requirements of the Consultant role include:
- Previous experience in a consultative sales environment, preferred
- Previous experience in-home sales, preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience, preferred
- Professional appearance and effective interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative style with internal and external customers
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Competency in Internet navigation, the use of Webmail and CRM
- Ability to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends
- Reliable vehicle and insurance
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass a background check and driving record check
