DescriptionTutorcast (www.tutorcast.tv) is a real-time video tutoring and learning platform. Tutoring is an effective form of supplemental education. However, tutoring has been siloed to those who can afford it. Tutorcast’s purpose is to make tutoring accessible and effective for all. It exists to close the ‘Achievement Gap’.
Tutorcast is created by former Googlers and seasoned entrepreneurs who will leverage the latest technological innovations to allow anyone access to the best tutors and learning technologies around the world. The company is seeking Business Development interns to join the mission to make tutoring accessible to all and drive business.
ResponsibilitiesThis is a great opportunity for students with a strong interest in entrepreneurship. If you’re non-technical and want to break into the world of startups and entrepreneurship, this is the perfect role. If you are shy, this role is not for you. You will be talking to prospective clients and educating them on our value proposition - if you are scared of sales, this role is not for you. But if you want to create your own business, this is the role for you. You will learn how to sale - which is the most important skill to develop if you want to be an entrepreneur. You will also act as a consultant to our partners and deliver excellent service. Throughout this, you will think critically about go to market strategies, sales and support execution and operational process enhancements.
You will learn the following:
How to to sale effectively and scalably
How to talk to, develop users, create product feedback loops to inform product strategy & development
How to think strategically about creating a business and value for users
How to launch a product
Preferred candidates have strong track record in taking initiative and delivering on autonomous projects. Candidates with prior sales experience is highly preferred.
Sales. Educate potential clients on the value of Tutorcast.
Account Mgmt. Retain and grow a book of business.
Spearhead business and partner development
Partner closely with the Founders, CEO, Exec team on various activities to arrive at the company’s mission
