Description

We are looking for a Business Development / Sales intern to help us share the Rev It Up Reading Online Course with high schools, colleges and universities. Rev It Up Reading is the brainchild of Abby Marks Beale, a developmental and speed reading expert, who created this user-friendly and interactive online course for high school and college students as well as busy professionals. Abby has a vision of changing the way college students read and approach their work. She believes the Rev It Up Reading Online course will help students reduce their learning stress and encourage life-long learning. As a college student, we think you are well-positioned to “sell” the benefits of better reading to a college. Your job will be to introduce and ultimately sell group licenses of the Rev It Up Reading online course to high schools, colleges & universities. You will be a ‘Reading Ambassador’ by sourcing new sales opportunities, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

This internship will help you boost your own reading skills because we ask you to take the five hour Rev It Up Reading Online Course (at no cost) to fully understand what the course looks like and how it works. If you’re interested in learning more about being an entrepreneur, you will also get some insights as Abby has been a sole-proprietor for 25+ years.

Rev It Up Reading is based in Wallingford, CT but you will need to work remotely using your own computer, internet connection and phone line. An initial generous 25% commission is offered on all course license sales and residual income will occur for up to five years. If you have interest in this and want to know more, get in touch. Responsibilities

• Provide research on potential clients and the competitive landscape
• Use our CRM (customer relationship management) software to track leads and opportunities
• Identify other potential business opportunities at high schools, colleges & universities
• “Get the sale” using various sales methods
• Provide timely customer service
• Evaluate customers’ needs and start to build productive long lasting relationships

Requirements

• Ability to communicate well at all levels with clients by phone, email and face to face
• A positive, friendly, outgoing attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education but graduates are welcome
