The Hippie Hobby is an every other month DIY craft kit subscription box that focuses on offering upcycled, natural or recycled crafts in our products and we are seeking an event planning/sales intern to support our team this Fall and Spring at local events and promotions. Interns will learn event planning, booth staging, marketing, and sales. This internship is unpaid with 1-2 events per weekend and hours will range between 8-15 hours per week. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ.


The main responsibilities of an event planning/sales intern is to support our team with a variety of tasks. Primary duties include:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies for future events
• Coordinate event activities including event setup, visual merchandising, and inventory control
• Process and track event sales
• Coordinate event logistics, timelines and schedules
• Networking and vendor promotion


• Ability to work some nights and weekends for events and promotions
• Passion for events and brand promotions
• Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure
• Outgoing personality and able to interact with a variety of consumers
• Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to manage multiple projects and campaigns
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to attend local events in Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas
• Customer service and sales experience is a plus
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs
