High-heel Golfer is an ever-adapting company focused on helping women get ahead in business by networking on the golf course. We host events, speaking engagements, and webinars all to help level the playing field for women in business. We are a small start-up looking to expand into multiple markets across the country by the end of 2015. Our competitive advantage is that we make golf fun and educational while also adding value to the careers of our clients. Golf is no longer a sport for the good old boys and women will no longer be left out of the big business decisions made out on the golf course.
ResponsibilitiesScope of Internship:
High-heel Golfer is seeking two interns to find creative ways to get new clients. You will soon learn it is a numbers game in sales, but there are ways to automate with marketing strategies and pre-written scripts. You will learn how to go from finding a prospect to closing a deal during your internship and be compensated for your efforts!
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in working within a creative and events atmosphere. The interns will expand and sharpen their skill sets concerning: journalism, interviewing, editing, and social media management. This position will change and shift as needed, but the following are the core responsibilities and include:
Attend company events
Develop and implement creative ways to increase brands awareness and drive traffic to Facebook, blog and Twitter.
Develop and implement -out-of-the-box' promotional campaigns and contests
Email and call 50+ Prospects per week
Enjoy the satisfaction of closing your first client!
Conduct sales meetings with high-powered business women who want to learn to golf for business.
Required to attend a weekly meeting with direct supervisor
Some travel may be required
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, LinkedIn and Facebook.
Excellent writing skills
Not afraid to pick up the phone and make calls
