DescriptionCollegiateParent is looking for a motivated and energetic professional to sell advertising space in CollegiateParent print & digital publications. The Sales Representative will research new business opportunities in assigned university markets and close sales over the phone & email.
Meet or exceed individual sales goals (includes revenue targets by market, call and email activity goals)
Maximize revenue potential across all essential advertising categories
Close ad sales over the phone and email to meet goals and expectations
Conduct market research and develop market leads
Determine top prospects in markets and develop sales strategy and tactics to win business
Prepare and send media kits as required
Document all sales activities and achievements in CRM (Salesforce)
Support customer follow-up by ensuring ad is received and paid
Create well written communications
Proficiency using CRM (Salesforce) a plus
Understanding of print and online ad sales
Skills and Abilities
Experience with sales
Ability to attain sales goals
Diligent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and persuasively by way of phone and in writing
