DescriptionOur educational programs date back to 1994, during the construction of Central America’s first commercial wind farm. Local entrepreneur Jean Paul Cazedessus served as a sub-contractor and host for the North American engineers building the first megawatt-sized wind-power plant in Central America. In collaborating with the engineers on the ridgeline under the spinning turbines overlooking Lake Arenal, Jean Paul realized there was nowhere else in the world where you could literally stand in one place and see commercial scale hydro, wind, biomass, geothermal, and now solar plants within the encompassing horizon. It was literally the tangible recognition of all this harnessed natural power that was the genesis of Jean Paul’s vision . . . and therefore also that of Earth20.
AllGreenEd has partnered for success with Earth20 to bring this unique, timely and relevant experience to more students, enabling the same powerful vision to be brought into our businesses and marketplace today.

Costa Rica is a world epicenter of renewable energy, an ideal destination for travel and cultural experience. It is the only place in the world where commercial-scale facilities for wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal and biomass converge in such close physical proximity. This provides a unique educational platform allowing students to physically visit and learn inside the plant infrastructure.
