The Willard Powell Research team is the firm’s post sales delivery engine. Research team members conduct best in class research, determine competitive intelligence gathering and sourcing strategies. Under the direction of the firm’s Head of Research, team members contribute to the firm’s ongoing retained search and research assignments.
A Research Associate is to act as a matchmaker between our clients and individuals seeking job opportunities. Research Associates will mainly focus on research to identify strong individuals and then work on building relationships with these individuals in order to introduce them to our clients and ultimately in hopes that they are hired.. This is an extremely important role to the firm and firm’s growth due to the fact it directly impacts our work for clients.
Responsibilities-Researching, identifying, and recruiting candidates through the use of innovative search methods that include networking, cold-calling, and the creative use of social, professional, and internet networking sites
-Qualify candidates through screening interviews for essential function/duties, work history, training, technical skills and salary requirements
-Take responsibility for producing extremely talented candidates that are submitted to open jobs at our clients each week
-Contribute to the development of the firm and work under the direction of senior team members
-Build and maintain strong client relationships, sourcing and identifying candidates for key openings and communicating frequent and professional with our clients
Requirements-Current enrollment in a bachelors degree or graduate program
-Strong attitude, aptitude and professional experience with outstanding interpersonal skills including strong self-motivation, focus and passion for hard work
-Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new skills and abilities
-Desire to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues and clients
-An entrepreneurial spirit, creative spark and an excitement for building a business
-An ability to be resourceful, take initiative and self manage
-An ability to multi-task, problem solve and manage multiple projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (professional telephone skills preferred but not required)
-Strong commitment helping others (e.g. responsive to emails, phone calls, proactive in providing feedback and maintaining communications with candidates and clients)
