ResponsibilitiesThis paid internship is a terrific opportunity for a student or recent college graduate who wants to learn the inner workings of a company and learn more about all aspects of the sales process in an international business. This is a small growing fashion forward company based in downtown San Rafael and you will be working for a talented entrepreneur bringing high quality home decorative accessories to the retail market. As an intern in the Sales Department, you will learn the entire sales process by supporting the sales team and assisting the team in expediting the flow of activities related to the company’s time to market and meeting customer demands. This is a great growth and learning opportunity through exposure to the wholesale/retail industry, international manufacturing, and an entrepreneurial startup; you will work hard but you will learn things you can use throughout your entire career.
RequirementsThe ideal person will be a self-starter, detail oriented, and a good communicator with an interest in sales or marketing and a passion for design. Bachelor’s degree or close to degree is preferred. Must have strong organizational and communications skills, demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines, and be adaptable, flexible in responding to various duties and requirements. Excellent computer skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment are essential.
