California Quake, LLC (women's tackle football team) was originally founded in 2001 and is a part of the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL). Quake plays their home games at Downey high school and their regular season is from January to July. Intern will work directly with the SCHWAN Food Company on their activations and programs at SCHWANS USA CUP. This includes but is not limited to Opening Ceremony, SCHWAN Zone, product distribution, contests and other special events. The candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, understand the youth soccer landscape, have flexible hours and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Internship will also assist with administrative organization of major amateur sporting events and projects sponsored by the NSC and MASC, including, NSC Cup, Wal-Mart All American Cup, and more. Responsibilities will include registration, volunteer services, transportation, activities, campus operations, results/media, publications, special events, marketing and more. Start: May 2013 Hours -- During summer, hours are 40+ per week. Interns should be flexible with time, as many positions require event work in evenings and weekends. During SCHWANS USA CUP; dorms provide a campus living experience for some of the International and United States athletes. We are seeking responsible candidates who will bring diverse backgrounds, are multi-lingual and have outgoing personalities for these positions. As an advisor, you will serve as the immediate contact for individuals in your assigned dorm, answering questions, coordinating transportation, and enforcing policies.
