Yet we compete against behemoth lending institutions every day, and fair pretty well. WHAT WE DO: We have a unique task as a marketing team. It turns out that small business commercial property financing isnt terribly exciting (unless youre a business owner whos really excited about owning your commercial property, and there are only so many of those out there). So we have our work cut out for us. What we aim for is omnipresence the more places we can show up, the more likely it is well stick out to our potential clients and the folks who can refer those people to us. Our CEO, Chris Hurn, is extremely involved in the marketing of our company. He loves doing it, and hes never out of ideas. In a sense, were an implementation team Chris gets big ideas and we have to figure out the best ways to implement them. What we do is fast-paced. It changes constantly. To be honest, were sort of flying by the seat of our pants most of the time. And we have fun with it.

Our Organization For more than 20 years, Womens Initiative has been providing low-income women throughout the Bay Area with the training, funding and ongoing support to start their own business and become economically self sufficient. In English and in Spanish, women conquer their fears of success, complete a business plan, learn technology, access capital, and meet influential and experienced business people who can help them succeed. The women who go through our program significantly increase their income and assets while launching businesses, creating jobs and stimulating the local economy. In 2009 alone, Womens Initiative graduates created 2,244 jobs in the Bay Area. The Opportunity Womens Initiative is pleased to offer the Microenterprise Fellows Program. This is a unique opportunity for recent college graduates and seasoned professionals alike to develop leadership skills in microenterprise development, microfinance, nonprofit management, evaluation techniques and social equality with the nations largest microenterprise organization. Microenterprise Fellows dedicate 10 weeks of service to Womens Initiative. The Winter 2011 program begins on January 24, 2011. Depending on interest and experience, Fellows will contribute their skills in the areas listed under "Responsibilities".
