Join Asian Arts Initiative as a valuable addition to our team! You will gain experience working with staff in a professional art non-profit and the Chinatown community, and gain crucial organizational, outreach, research and database skills. Asian Arts Initiative is a community-based arts center in Philadelphia that engages artists and everyday people to create art that explores the diverse experiences of Asian Americans, addresses our social context, and imagines and effects positive community change. The development intern will primarily help with the planning of our annual benefit banquet in April. Duties will include: -Soliciting auction donations -Tracking and maintaining RSVP, auction and sponsor lists -Helping prepare printed materials (letters, save-the-date cards, invitations, etc.) -Creating and formatting emails on Constant Contact -Making follow up calls General development duties include: -Processing donations and writing thank you notes -Updating and maintaining information on our Salesforce database -Helping prepare bulk mailings -Prospect research -Preparing board minutes We are looking for a commitment through April of at least 15 hours a week with more hours the few weeks before our banquet on April 26. Start date (as late as February) and scheduled hours during the week are flexible. Our office is open 10-6pm Monday-Friday.
