BLOUIN ART SALES INDEX is seeking an extremely detail-oriented individual to obtain auction images for its searchable online archive of art auction records, which includes over 4.2 million auction records dating back to the 1920s for paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, works on paper, and miniatures. The intern will work directly under the Director of BASI and closely with the image coordinator of the entire site. Primary responsibilities will include collecting images from auction catalogs and preparing those images for use on the site. The ideal candidate for this internship will possess a working knowledge of art history and familiarity with artwork mediums and art-related terminology, but it is not a requirement. Foreign language skills are a plus. Photoshop and general image editing skills are a must. Department Overview:
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Creative Entertainment is a dynamic entertainment environment, offering nothing less than the perfect show for millions of guests worldwide. An integral part of this organization is the Show Development & Production Design department that is responsible for the development of designs/scenic treatments/logos/graphics for live shows including parades, stage shows and special events on and off the Disney property and onboard the Disney Cruise Line.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Basic design, including computer graphics, painting, mounting of artwork
  
• Work in varied design programs, including Photoshop, Artworks and occasionally Illustrator
  
• Create mood boards for design projects
  
• Communicate clearly with Art Directors and designers, workroom personnel and other design Assts.
