We have an IMMEDIATE opening for a creative Arts & Crafts Intern. As Arts & Crafts Intern, you will work on-site and be directly involved in creating one-of-a-kind arts & crafts for children. Qualifications: Experience working with children. Ability to imagine and create interesting crafts for kids. Creativity and a strong work ethic. Interest in arts education. Adobe Creative Suite expertise preferred. Art students preferred. Hours: Scribble Towns Monday-through-Friday office schedule offers flexible hours; total weekly hours will be about 15. Through vision and leadership, advocacy and collaboration, the Greater Columbus Arts Council supports arts and advances the culture of the region. A catalyst for excellence and innovation, we fund exemplary artists and arts organizations and provide programs, events and services of public value that educate and engage all audiences in our community. The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), a not-for-profit organization, encourages and supports cultural development in the Greater Columbus area. In this capacity, GCAC provides technical services to artists and arts organizations, acts as the community's voice on arts advocacy issues, and serves as the official agency for the City of Columbus grants for the arts. GCAC administers the Columbus Arts Festival, the Community Arts Partnership Awards, and the Community Arts Education program, which consists of Artists-in-Schools and Art in House a partnership with TRANSIT Arts and Community Settlement Houses.

Maximillian Gallery at the world-renowned Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood, CA, represents emerging and contemporary artists and features unique functional art and art gifts including jewelry, silk scarves, candles, flasks, hand painted guitars and more. We are looking for an intern.

Georgia's State Art Collection (SAC) is an extensive, vibrant chronicle of work created by Georgia artists from the 1970s to the 1990s. Each piece in the collection was juried by a panel of experts. It is a state asset that serves as an educational tool, preserves the state's artistic heritage and disseminates knowledge about the art and artists of Georgia. The SAC Intern will assist with updating a comprehensive list of all currently held pieces of art, their location and condition cross referenced against information in the GCA database and various loan schedules. In addition this position will support the Director in the management of SAC loans and have the opportunity to be involved with the SAC digitization project which is being initiated in partnership with the New Georgia Encyclopedia.

Launching in Fall 2012, @60" will maintain an online gallery featuring more than 11,000 pieces of original art from over 2,000 vetted emerging artists. @60" will provide its registered users and clients an opportunity to either browse independently or utilize one of @60s curatorial professionals in picking the right works of art for their home or project.

Intern work directly with the Managing Director of Performing Arts in the coordination of current and future season planning, general office work, and maintaining and updating all performing arts files. Also, the intern will alternate between the Assistant to the Managing Director and Company Manager with drafting event programs, researching upcoming artists, assisting with artist services to arranging transportation and housing logistics of visiting artists, staff, and fellow interns.

A core goal of GCAs new strategic plan is to build increased connectivity among the states arts organizations and improve the viability of the resources we provide to the field via our website and library. The Grant Programs Intern will work closely with the Grant Programs Manager to research relevant arts industry statistics, studies, data and organize the small GCA library. He/she will also develop a database by discipline of arts organizations in the state which will be distributed to similar organizations to facilitate partnerships and communication. The intern will also support the Grants Manager with all aspects of GCAs grant review process.
