Gallery Intern Crossing Art (Flushing, NY) Crossing Art is seeking Winter/ Spring Interns for February and/or beyond (for-hire is a possibility). Crossing Art Interns have the unique opportunity to learn about starting up a small business and running an art space from the very beginning. This is a hands-on internship, with interns becoming an essential part of our team. We are looking for proactive, hard working candidates with a desire to take initiative on assignments and special projects. Compensation: - Compensation for this position is a daily stipend and based on commission. Interns receive 5% of the pre-tax price of any artwork sold. - School credit is available. Location: Newburgh Performing Arts Academy, Meadow Hill School, Temple Hill School, South Middle School and Boys & Girls Clubs of Newburgh The performing/visual arts intern will work directly with the youth as an assistant instructor in any of our performing/visual arts programs. The intern will assist in the development and implementation of the curriculum for the youth in the after-school arts classes. Interns will focus on leading the students to complete their end of the year goals (recital, exhibit, performance, etc.) Classes include theatre, dance, music and arts classes. Interns will be placed based on experience and interest.
