We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic students to participate in a summer internship for our Network Planning and Engineering Organization with a focus on engineering, managerial and financial aspects of the business. Individuals will gain invaluable knowledge on how to design, build, and operate wireless networks. Unlike other engineering internships, this person will get experience in several different aspects of our always changing business environment and will learn a broad prospective of the telecommunications business by interacting with senior management. It's a demanding role with high expectations
Required Qualifications:
Students pursuing a degree in Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science and are rising Juniors or Seniors or pursuing their Masters degree
- Ability to effectively manage relationships with cross-functional partners
-Self-motivated and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Excellent analytical skills and great attention to detail
-GPA of 3.0 or better
-Proficient skills in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
-Demonstrated leadership attributes
-Must have reliable transportation or access to public transportation
-Must be Visa eligible, i.e., not require sponsorship
-Open to US Citizenship or Permanent Residents

AT&T Specialist RAN Engineer NETDP (Hoffman Estates IL\ Dallas TX)

This Specialist RAN employee (IC II) will work along side engineers working for the National Radio Access Network Engineering team who are responsible for overseeing LTE network deployments and in many cases review performance reports and provide technical approval decision for these deployments. This individual will also assist in enhancing LTE guidelines and assist in the development of Long-Term Evolution (LTE) launch requirements, guidelines, and processes. The individual will also regularly interact with our infrastructure vendors, 3rd party vendors, and AT&Ts cross-functional teams, along with our local RAN markets teams to ensure that all aspects of the process, under our national launch guidelines are being followed. Some further duties may require frequent presentations to large groups and/or senior executive leadership and may have to produce the technical documentation. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to gain technical knowledge; works well independently with the ability to manage multiple tasks on a regular basis. Finally, the individual must have excellent communication skills and possess leadership abilities.



Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:
· Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering. Focus can be Computer Science, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical
· Currently pursuing a Masters Degree is engineering.
· Strong knowledge of and the ability to solve complex issues in the areas of engineering principles.
· RF communications theory, design principles, network optimization, propagation modeling and prediction, is recommended but not required.
· Must be a US Citizen
