The Medical Tourism Association, the only international non-profit organization in the medical tourism industry is looking for an enthusiastic intern to contribute to the content development of our magazine and other social media channels. Responsibilities will include: Interviewing potential authors for the magazine Contributing to the writing for the news and educational content of the magazine and newsletters. Assisting in distribution databases, add new distribution contacts. Writing content for blogs and other social media channels. Applicants must be current students within two years of earning an undergraduate degree (juniors and seniors) or current graduate students Must demonstrate proficiency speaking and writing in the English language Good Good writing skills and the ability to recognize grammatical and factual errors. Relevant coursework or experience in a cross-format environment (text, video, photos, interactive/graphics, etc.) is highly desirable. Knowledge of online and social media news venues. Highly organized and attentive to detail; able to multi-task and manage projects as assigned. Self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. ULife was designed to become the voice of the collective college student body and we are continuing to grow as a publication and brand. We currently have college journalists from across the US writing for the website on a daily basis, yet we are looking to further develop the business with the assistance of some interns. This is an incredible opportunity for students that want to get involved in a "hands-on" internship program, as all interns will be actively involved in developing the business, rather than coffee runs or nonsense tasks. We are looking for current or recently graduated broadcast journalism students to help with identifying important news stories and facts, writing copy, and assisting in running our daily news broadcast. You will be working directly with the Senior Editor, as well as be learning from a professional director/cinematographer. This would be ideal for someone who's interested in the behind the scenes aspects of broadcast journalism, and wants to learn how to run a daily news show first hand! There is no fixed pay at this time. ULife will cover any costs associated with the work we ask you to do, if needed. MedCity Media, the publisher of MedCityNews.com, is seeking a summer intern to produce copious amounts of healthcare content (from blog posts to social media to longer articles) and execute social media strategy. This paid internship will put the intern in the middle of a fast-paced, digital-first media outlet and the intern will be treated like a regular member of team. Ideal candidates have a passion for media and healthcare; have an understanding of social media; are coachable yet independent, critical thinkers; are willing to try different approaches; and are flexible enough to take on different duties throughout the summer.
