Whatever you can commit to. At this point, we have no budget and can not offer any form of monetary compensation. We understand that college students are busy and we want to have mutually-beneficial relationships with our writers. We expect a Contributing Bartender Writer to commit to submitting 2-3 pieces of content every week, as scheduled by the editorial calendar. At minimum, we ask for a commitment of 1 piece of content, every week, as scheduled. Types of content will obviously include Cocktail Recipes, and also Bar related articles and blogs. Writers can choose to author a biweekly or weekly column, or simply contribute one-off recipes and articles. The experience can help you to develop your personal editorial brand, connect with a larger audience & gain writing and editorial experience working with an online publication. We currently have college journalists from across the US writing for the website on a daily basis, yet we are looking to further develop the business with the assistance of some interns. This is an incredible opportunity for students that want to get involved in a "hands-on" internship program, as all interns will be actively involved in developing the business, rather than coffee runs or nonsense tasks. ULife is looking for an experienced college journalist to man our assignment desk. We have a group of broadcast journalist who will be making news videos everyday and they need to know what stories to cover! You'll be tasked with selecting stories already written on our website, as well as important stories off the wire for our on camera reporters to cover. You'll be working closely with our Senior Editor in our Santa Monica office. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of experience on a daily or weekly publication, and has demonstrated consistent news judgement. If you have an eye for good copy and are quick with editing and formatting stories for broadcast, that's a huge plus! There is no fixed pay at this time. The selected applicant will write short articles about the current events that are happening in their country.
