Internship Description: The Partner Development Intern will be responsible for: Goals Markets Define a process for securing more bookings for our school presentations and then secure future bookings Develop lists of future events, meetings and conventions held by associations of interest to We Are One by determining benefits of participation, location of events and basic costs of events. Drawing attention to our organization in a positive way and raising awareness of company's offerings. Assisting in the creation of sales presentations for potential corporate partners Regular reporting to supervisors on progress of work. Continuously reaching out to groups to form constant communication. Ideal Candidate: Very creative, organized, detail-oriented, and great at people management. Ability to manage time along with superb verbal and written communication skills The successful candidate must be comfortable and proficient with technology -- email, internet, MS Office, and willingness to learn user-friendly software. Must be able to work independently, but also be a team player. Additionally, candidate must be reliable, punctual, and able to attend phone meetings a few times a week. On-going Responsibilities: Accompany Director of Government relations to hill meetings, take notes and produce post-meeting brief documents Maintain death tax repeal pledge signatory database Assist with candidate outreach via phone, e-mail, direct meetings Perform economic and policy research and produce issue briefs for AFBF Perform pre-meeting research on candidates, Congressmen, and Senators Record minutes at DTRWG meetings, update and maintain contact database for DTRWG Prepare blog posts on current events Perform research as requested by senior staff Candidates for this position should have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. They should have the following skills and experience: professional attire and demeanor, humility, good communication skills (including writing ability and telephone skills), internet research skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, and Excel. The candidate should be detail-oriented, have strong initiative and demonstrated resourcefulness, and be willing to take on a variety of assignments, both working independently and as part of a team.
