eBusiness Solutions InternshipCompany Overview: Since its opening in 1971, the
Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, FL has grown to feature four theme parks the
Magic Kingdom ® Park,
Epcot ®,
Disneys Hollywood Studios ®, and
Disneys Animal Kingdom ® Theme Park. In addition, more than 20 themed resort hotels, two water parks, and the Downtown Disney® Area, a daytime and nighttime entertainment complex, are part of the
Walt Disney World Resort.
Department Overview: eBusiness Solutions is responsible for providing eSolutions for Worldwide Sales and Travel Operations (SATO) at our domestic and international theme park destinations. eBusiness Solutions guides and supports the Worldwide Sales and Travel Operations organization through eSolutions such as websites, email campaigns, creative and online media; identifies and leverages global best practices leading to actionable process flows for efficient and seamless problem solving.
Responsibilities The eBusiness Solutions Professional Intern will work closely with the SATO teams to design, build, deploy, and manage online solutions. In this role, expectations are to understand technology, create and manage online assets, program and develop in HTML and Adobe products.
Basic Qualifications- Currently earning a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Digital Media
- Must be a graduating senior or currently earning a Master's degree
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong problem solving through the use of analytical methods and concepts
- Self-starter with the ability to work across multiple function teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in HTML, Javascript, Adobe CS4 or Higher (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, Acrobat etc), Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications- Exhibits leadership abilities
Additional InformationInternship Eligibility:- Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Must provide own transportation to/from work
- Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2013 through January 2014.
Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
