As a member of the Front Store Retail Merchandising Team, you will lead the business planning process for a category and generate appropriate analytics to support your business plan recommendations. You will work closely with category management, retail innovation / store design, and customer insights teams to ensure a comprehensive category business plan. He/She will play a role in identifying key opportunities, forming hypothesis, designing and conducting analysis, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations and developing presentation materials.

Role Responsibilities
-Lead a strategic category review that incorporates category, customer, store, financial, and external information to support the category strategy and tactics
-Partner with the internal retail merchant team, and other teams as needed, to understand performance drivers, category objectives
-Lead hypothesis ideation, surface cross-category insights and conduct custom analytics to help address complex business questions for the development of the category business plan
-Perform data analysis through integration of various sources of external and internal data, identify/quantify opportunities and make appropriate recommendations that meet the needs of our most important customers to drive incremental growth
-Present findings and recommendations to Merchant and Retail Planning & Analytics teams
-Participates, shares and introduces concepts or models for market analysis and program development
Required Qualifications:-Candidates must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. -Candidates should possess leadership qualities and skills and be studying in a program related to their department of interest -Candidates must be available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program. -Candidates must pass a background check and drug test prior to hiring and being officially accepted into the program. -Candidates should be able to work in the United States with no restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:-Self motivated team player with strong communication skills -High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously -Experience conducting business analysis, analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions -Passionate about retail and CPG
Education:-Candidates for MBA internships must be enrolled in a one or two year MBA program.
