As an APS Engineering Intern you will be responsible for implementing Lean tools and standards on the shop floor and propose methods/tools to improve the SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance. This position is also responsible for: * Application of APS requirements in DIT production including 5S, MIFA, Continuous Flow, and Waste Hunting. * Studying manufacturing process for labor efficiency to identify ways to reduce direct labor hours required and strive to eliminate steps in the assembly process. * Conducts process improvement studies to enhance the ease of assembly. * Standardizes manufacturing processes to improve effectiveness. * Updates assembly processes. * Trains production employees on modified procedures. * Help organize and assist with the relocation of Production to a new facility. * Assist implementation of SAP enterprise requirements planning system into Production.
