An Event Company is looking for a person to fulfill the Graphic Designer Intern position. Our company focuses on being team-oriented and providing both employee and customer satisfaction. We are looking to find a talented person who has the ability to prepare visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts. A qualified person should enjoy taking pictures and he/she should have an eye for detail and a creative mind. We are looking for an individual to start this position beginning Fall 2013. Duties and Responsibilities: Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of pictures including: size, type and style Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout Prepares final layout by marking up finished copy Completes projects by coordinating with outside parties including adding any details provided by the person who requested the pictures Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops or trainings Creative ability to work with pictures and morph them in a suitable manner Stick to illustration/format requested by the individual who ordered the specific prints Job Requirements: Ability to work with a range of Graphic Designer Software Knowledge of different types of photo layouts Ability to perform creative photos and photo montages Can work with customer to achieve highest quality of service Knowledge and ability to use Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator This is a great opportunity for anyone who is extremely creative and who enjoys designing new and exciting projects. We are looking to bring on an intern Graphic Designer for our Internet marketing company, to work 2-3 days per week, doing things like; Website design, flyer design, logo design and marketing material design. This job will have some task that may be paid, at a rate between $8-$9 per hours and some unpaid task. We are a group of three companies in need of a basic website. For this project you will work with management from the companies to set up small websites for each company. The sites will be of minimum size, typically less than 10 pages. Management at the companies is not familiar with web design and maintenance. This position will work closely with our Creative Director to create marketing and sales presentations, lookbooks and linesheets, shooting and silhouetting flats, collateral, illustrations, icons and other graphics for web and print. Experience or strong interest in marketing, technology, and fashion is a must our designer is expected to contribute not only to visuals, but also to the concepts and strategies behind designs. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Assist in maintaining and updating online presence (blogs, twitter, facebook, pinterest, instagram, etc.) - Translate abstract concepts into visual illustrations - Source photography and artwork QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: - Superior knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign - Ability to work quickly and independently when required - Experience creating images for web and print - Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines - Strong eye for layout, typography, and current design trends. You will be working iteratively to develop the UI of our MVP. We are looking for someone to collaborate with both our UX Designer and back-end Engineer to craft the experience of our UI using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Interest in responsive design is crucial as a lean start-up we see a lot of value in mobile-first methodology. We haven't committed to a particular tech stack at this point, so we are looking for someone who can help us put a solution in place that will scale with our business. Because we need to support eCommerce in our MVP, we will probably find an out-of-the-box solution that is somewhat functionally similar to what we want to do and customize from there. However, we are open to building this from scratch if someone is passionate about tackling that kind of challenge and feels strongly that it would be the best way to go. This role will collaborate closely with a UX Designer and front-end Engineer. You will be empowered to select the technology and structure the back-end in the way you see best and given the autonomy to make critical decisions, so you must be a self-motivated problem solver.
