The Kitchen is an international language translation, dubbing and subtitling services company. All projects begin with translation, and our very busy Translation Dept. manages our translators who are based around the world. The Translation Dept. interns will assist in managing the multi-lingual projects that The Kitchen does daily for television and motion pictures productions globally.

Description of Position: We are currently looking for candidates for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival Internship Program.  All students that wish to be considered must combine the internship with either the Winter/Spring 2013 or Summer 2013 internship programs in order to qualify for school credit. Internships are unpaid, but students get invaluable experience in the entertainment business. Progressive Public Affairs is a lobbying and communications company in Chicago working to change the world, one law at a time. We'd like to get into video as a tool for reaching hearts and minds. The intern will work on conceiving, shooting and editing relatively short pieces (3 - 10 minutes) to be distributed on our platforms and through client platforms (their websites and social media). If you have creative ideas for using video to advance the progressive agenda (like helping to elect Democrats or convincing people to support progressive causes like high speed rail or ensuring every American is registered to vote or convincing people that we spend way too much money on the military), this is the internship for you. It's based in our Loop office and is available this summer and this fall. Self-starters do best, so if you have an entrepreneurial spark, this internship can grow into a job as we convince clients to pay for the work after they see how amazing it is.

Philadelphia-based independent record label headed by Grammy-Winning Artist/Songwriter/Producer and a roster of upcoming talent is seeking interns for our various departments.  Our current artist roster has been receiving press on major publications such as The Source, XXL, AllHipHop.Com, Thissongissick.com, RCRDLBL and more.  We participate in concerts and festivals in Philadelphia as well as across the country (ex: SXSW, Brooklyn Hip-Hop Fest).  The label focuses on Hip Hop and Electronic music with plans to expand within these genres.

Myouterspace.com is a website dedicated to science fiction and the people and technology who create it, showcasing the tools and talents behind film, television and video games. Production Interns will be responsible for assisting the production team with shooting video and live-stream production on the soundstage. Duties will include running errands, assisting the production office and supporting all production aspects on set. Video content produced by Myouterspace includes webisodes, interviews, live stream shows, music videos, animation and stop motion. The successful candidate will be independent, industrious, creative and skilled in one or more areas of video production, such as set design, lighting or sound. This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student with a strong interest in online video to collaborate on all aspects of storytelling with a small filmmaking and live streaming stream.
