Non-Profit Documentary Fundraising Internship

The Development Department seeks an intern to research funders and proposals, track grants and prepare support documents for proposals. In addition, support record keeping for individual donors and help with donor gift fulfillment. This internship would provide an individual the opportunity to work with a cutting-edge new media organization that uses video and new media to amplify, create and tell stories that inform the public, change attitudes and motivate people to take action on important social issues.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and graphic design skills
Knowledge of current social issues
Work ethic, including being flexible and detail-oriented
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Fundraising experience preferred, but can be trained
The ideal individual should possess strong personal commitment to social change and have an interest in fundraising.
This is an in-office position at Brave New Films, working in the Development/Communications department.
The position is multi-faceted and involves duties including, but not limited to, writing, researching, record-keeping, administrative assistance, editing, graphic design, and donation fulfillment.
This position requires 10-15 hours a week time commitment.
