Marketing and Sales Intern

HACKFitCambridge, MA
HACKFit is the foremost startup-event management company which helps entrepreneurs and engineers turn early stage fitness-tech concepts into viable businesses. Our organization consists of technologists, hackers, and fitness nuts designing a culture where work, activity, and play are one-in-the-same. HACKFit's focus is on hosting large hackathon events where entrepreneurs build fitness technologies ranging from the Nike FuelBand to apps like RunKeeper while simultaneously remaining active/fit. "Traditional" hackathons, Startup Weekends, and other lame-ass Meetup events are more stressful than fun. Not HACKFit. In addition to hacking code, building hardware, and vetting business models, our event participants sweat hard during our physical challenges and group workouts - ranging from bouldering to yoga. We are based in Boston, MA and have need for an intern to work directly with the CEO to develop and implement marketing / sales strategies for the New England region. Our team takes pride in working with some of the most innovative companies within the fitness technology space, and candidates should feel comfortable reaching out to high level executives, setting up potential partnership deals, and above all - closing. In addition to sales, the intern will manage HACKFit's social media campaigns. It will be necessary to keep up to date on the latest fitness devices and platforms being utilized by software developers to build next-generation fitness applications. Research will be directed through HACKFit social media channels to support marketing and sales efforts. We are dedicated to offering a unique experience that offers you in-depth professional opportunities, the ability to meet and engage with global leaders in entrepreneurship, and the opportunity to attend a myriad of fun and informative events. There are few internship opportunities out there that compare with the amount of exposure, responsibility, and fun you will have at HACKFit. Make sure to bring your running shoes to work. We tend to have jogging meetings :) This internship position is unpaid. You will work directly with HACKFit founder and CEO and will learn what it takes to build a company from the ground up. Our CEO will teach you how to setup/close large partnership deals in addition to providing mentorship on how to convert marketing efforts into revenue. This unpaid internship is for the summer months beginning July 8th and ending during the first weeks of September.
