The non-monetary benefits are exponential. Internships require 20 hours a week for 6 months for those who is still fulltime in school or 30-40 hours a week for those studying online or graduates. (This can be adjusted to meet specific hour requirements for academic purposes.) Internships are currently available for our programs. Your internship will be based on your career goals and on the needs of the organization. We will train you and give you all the tools you need to be successful. Some of the work may be completed virtually, so you dont have to plan to work all the time onsite. Because most of our work is done with the U.S. Government, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.

Core Responsibilities: ? Supports and encourages others to support the Mission, Core Values and Goals of Health Choice Network. ? Assists and provides support to all members of the HR Department. ? Searches for candidates using large job board databases. ? Updates job postings on job boards and company website. ? Screens resumes and applications. ? Schedules candidates for interviews. ? Coordinates new hire paperwork and makes new hire files. ? Inputs pertinent information into the HRIS system. ? Shares relevant new hire paperwork with payroll. ? Faxes requests for background checks. ? Responds to and makes phone calls and emails regarding HR department. ? Maintains and secures all personnel files, active and terminated. ? Performs all filing and documentation to be in compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures. ? Retrieves terminated paperwork for unemployment verifications. ? Completes special projects as needed.

Our organization is seeking to develop a new kind of consulting practice -- an in-house operation with the objective of providing consulting services to other consulting firms, and bringing new consultants into the field. Today, we live in a very complicated world dominated by very complex technologies; the kind which global trading partners and communications networks rely upon to keep the global economy running. Language differences, cultural differences, and conflicting regulatory environments add to this complexity. Newer, faster, and more powerful software tools are needed to help organizations the world over manage all of this complexity. This position involves choosing a project from a list. The project would involve researching a significant problem faced by a theoretical corporation or small government (i.e. unemployment resulting from implementation of trade agreements), and under the guidance of the director working to solve that problem with the aid of technology consultants/partners, and the very latest software and technology solutions. The goal of the intern should be to learn enough to become employable or self-employed as a valuable advocate for professional consultants and consulting firms.

The Urban and Regional Policy program of the German Marshall Fund program empowers local leaders to introduce innovative strategies to their communities by building networks of local and regional policy makers and practitioners who can share insights about policy successes and shared challenges; by providing in-depth research and analysis of challenges and solutions across multiple communities; and by providing means for both practitioners and policy experts to conduct first hand research on best practices in communities across the Atlantic.
