The Washington Jewish Film Festival brings together over 9,000 people to watch new and award-winning films that explore the great diversity of the Jewish experience. These films from around the world bring to life stories, issues and ideas that open our minds and change our perspectives. In addition the WJFF Year-Round is the year-round repertory arm of the Washington Jewish Film Festival exhibiting entertaining and thought-provoking features, documentaries and shorts from around the world every month at the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater. Most screenings are accompanied by interesting speakers including filmmakers and scholars, stimulating discussions or dynamic live performances. Description The Washington Jewish Film Festival is currently seeking 1-2 highly motivated individuals to join our team as interns for at least 1 day (8 hours) per week. This position will assist in multiple aspects of both the year round and festival programs to include, but not limited to, marketing, film tracking, special events, and community outreach. Our interns will be an important part of the continued success of the WJFF as we enter our 24th festival year. Responsibilities: Update our film database and assist with tracking incoming film submissions Assist with new programs and special events Analysis of previous programs and festivals Research new partnerships throughout the community Coordinate social media Administrative support as needed

Fall Film Internship

Its expected that 90 percent of all internet traffic in 2013 will be video. For publishers, video has become a paramount part of the business. Heres your chance to create and publish video content for a family-based audience. As a Familius film intern, youll film five videos: three book teasers and two short films on best family practices. Our goal as a company is to help families be happy. We are looking for interns that are positive, upbeat, wildly creative, and that have a sincere to desire to help families. DETAILS: Compensation: $350 stipend, plus a waiver of the Familius Family International Film Festival fee. Hours: 10 per week, but those hours may be scheduled around school and other activities (we're trying to make it simple). Location: Flexible. All of your work can be done at home and on your own time. Regular meetings and communications will be done through Skype and email.
