Campaign for Americas Future (along with its sister organization Institute for Americas Future) is a strategy center for the progressive movement -- promoting an agenda to enhance prosperity and opportunity for all Americans. The Campaign for America's Future (CAF) is a center for ideas and action that works to build an enduring majority for progressive change. The Campaign advances a progressive economic agenda and a vision of the future that works for the many, not simply the few. The Campaign is leading the fight for America's priorities for good jobs and a sustainable economy, and for strengthening the safety net. The Opportunity
Campaign for Americas Future (CAF) and Institute for Americas Future (IAF) seek a Policy Research Intern who is a well-organized team player with a commitment to and interest in progressive issues. We are looking for a bright, energetic undergraduate or graduate student to help us push for an economy that works for working people. The Policy Research Intern will work on reports, fact sheets, blog posts and bill analysis (to be published on OurFuture.org and TheMiddleClass.org) to equip progressive leaders, staffers and activists with message frames and talking points to make our case on critical economic issues. The Policy Research Intern position represents an exciting opportunity to participate in this years nationwide debate from the center of the progressive movement. Particular issues of interest are: financial reform, industrial policy/green jobs, job growth and social security in addition to other progressive kitchen table economic issues.
What Youll Have
o Policy or political research experience is a plus
o Understanding of progressive economic and political issues
o Maturity to take initiative and work independently
o Excellent written communication skills
o Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
o Strict attention to detail and ability to follow oral and written instructions
o Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook computer programs
