Classes pertaining to your major will not substitute real world experience, of which should be obtained before he or she enters the business world. AGVSPORT offers a bona fide internship experience that will not only prepare you for today's job market, but will transform you into an asset for any company YOU choose to work for. This is not an internship that consists of atypical grunt work, but hands on experience through direction and personal management. Desired Characteristics: Knowledge of Adobe products: Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash Excellent organization and interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Must be organized, very motivated and enthusiastic Basic understanding of email (Outlook) Duties Include: Designing on a project-to-project basis on various types of apparel, products, and graphics Making changes on current products for future season's product line Creating rough drafts, converting it to the computer, and coloring and texturing of designs for the projects at hand Working as a team with other interns to assure office communication and organization Completing long-term projects assigned by hierarchy By the end of this training the trainee will have learned to: Add real world experience to their educational credentials Create and produce images and logos Work on a strict deadline Create graphics to be used for advertisements, i.e. events, products, etc. Participate as part of a team, on shared assignments and projects Compile a portfolio of completed assignments at the end of the internship Fuller understanding of the industry and customer knowledge Building relationships through various networking Utilize teamwork skills Length Requirement: The position is open for as long as the student would like, but with a minimum length of 12 weeks, 21 to 35 hours/week. Specifications: This position is open to students enrolled at any college or university or a graduate looking for real world experience. The students' interests must lie in graphic arts. Web Design & Development Internships We currently have opportunity available for a 3-month Web Design & Development Internship. Candidates should be current students or recent graduates looking for practical training and experience in web design. Creative Video has a very diversified twenty-year background in video and major market television, servicing clients including, Bowl Games of America, Allstate Sugar Bowl, Indy500, Discover Orange Bowl Sony Music, IBM, University of Pennsylvania, Youth Education in the Arts, BDP International, Hollywood Christmas Parade, Blogworld & New Media Expo and several others. Most projects will involve customizing websites, and landing pages, often incorporating video and/or audio elements. Candidates must have a range of creativity, perspective and flexibility in design concepts and deliverables, from entertainment/interactive to corporate communications/brand identity. Attention to detail and the ability to work as a team member are also essential. Applicant should have a sensible approach to design while keeping in mind cross browser support. Key Responsibilities: Designs and develops art and graphic solutions to support web-based projects. Can weave rich media techniques into creative solutions and stay on top of emerging technologies and latest web trends. Provides strong knowledge of web design/usability principles. Work with our marketing department, production staff and content writers to develop elements in design strategy, visual concepts for internet communications. Qualifications: Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and Javascript. Proven experience in Flash, Joomla, WordPress and/or Drupal is helpful, but not required. Superior graphic design skills, evidenced by an outstanding portfolio of work.
