We are currently seeking highly skilled and motivated students to participate in our SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. During the internship program, students will learn our business processes; will be mentored by experienced professionals and given instructions that will help them apply theory to real world business issues. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assist with Feasibility Reports oResearch geographical considerations. oContact Municipalities for background information on Construction Permits, Signage Permits, etc. oDevelop existing floor plan conditions from field sketches, etc. Assist with local field inspections. oSite Measurements. oPhotographs oFloor Plans oGeneral condition inspections Project Data collection Occasional Administrative Tasks (20%)

The Paul C. Kupchok Wildlife Rehabilitation Center features over 50 permanently disabled or imprinted raptors and other wildlife. Licensed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to maintain and rehabilitate birds of prey, the Center treats, rehabilitates and releases injured, orphaned or distressed birds and specializes in hawks, falcons, eagles, owls, and vultures. Song birds and small mammals also are handled on occasion. The Wildlife Center features a beautiful education center, animal triage care area and has large display and flight cages, woodland paths and naturalistic habitats. State licensed wildlife rehabilitators, an environmental educator and animal caretaker comprise the staff in this area. Interns in this area will assist wildlife classes, work one-on-one with students, learn about wildlife rehabilitation, maintain the center and become primary caregivers for the animals. Internship Skill Areas ? Animal Care, Handling and Management- learn how to provide humane and species-appropriate care for farm animals, horses, wildlife and a variety of small and large species in the context of a nature-based therapeutic intervention program. Animal handling, selection, feeding, medical care and training are taught by experienced staff specialists. Introduction to Program Administration- learn how to create, implement, and document activities around animals and nature. The internship experience provides an important introduction to program development for those who seek to replicate and administer nature-based programs in other settings. Farm Class Teaching Support- learn to skillfully apply animal-assisted interventions and horticulture education to groups of students as teaching assistants in farm, riding and garden classes. Intern Project- Institute Interns, either as a group or individuals, will participate in an additional project to enhance the Green Chimneys Farm, or another area of the organization and its programs.

Understanding of different mobile platforms such as Iphone, Blackerry, and Google Android. May work virtually if not in the Los Angeles area

Job duties to include assisting with Pre Development Services, General Contractor Management, Subcontracting Services, Estimating, and Other Duties as Assigned. In addition, the intern can generally assist in all areas of our execution as appropriate.

Builds and codes applications and/or modules using languages such as C++, visual basic, ABAP, JAVA, XTML, etc. Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems. May design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. May build add-on modules using application program language. Active participant in research and development activities leading to the development, demonstration, and documentation of new capabilities, and/ or advancing the state of existing technologies. Preferred Skills: MATLAB Proficiency, Experience with Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning Algorithms, Experience with various development applications such as MATLAB Builder JA, Java/Swing, Adobe Flex, C++/C# and NRT environments, Presentation and Public Speaking Skills, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

We are looking for an extremely detail oriented person (ideally but not required) with good knowledge of HTML, JQuery, VB, C#, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, ASP.NET, and other related server technologies used to implement .NET applications. Experience in UI design, Commerce Server, and Content Management Systems is a plus. Candidate must be able to work in a team setting as well as an individual setting and must have strong architecture and conceptual skills.
