At World Wide Village (WWV), we believe in the importance of education and its impact to create sustainability among the Haitian people. We offer supervised Internships that provide a teaching and learning experience while putting Christ at the center. The cost for our Haiti Internship Program is $800/mo and includes: housing, on ground transportation, food/beverage, translators and all project costs. There is a 2-3 month commitment for all WWV Internships. Agriculture: Our AG Interns will help to assist with sustainable agriculture by using locally-sourced materials, innovative ideas, community cooperation and continued support. WWV Interns will assist in the processing of Moringa trees, as well as our Garden Projects and development. Education: Our ED Interns will help to assist in the communities and schools where WWV works to provide education. WWV Interns will have the opportunity to work with Haitian teachers, local pastors, parents and community leaders. Medical Health Care: Our MHC Interns will be partnering with American providers, local Haitian medical providers, nurses and dentists to assist in the rebuilding of an extremely weak health care delivery system. Housing Construction: Our HC Interns will be partnering with American and Haitian construction workers to help provide Haitian families with sustainable homes. With 600,000 families still living in tents, there is much hands-on training to do. Psychology Education: Our PE Interns will have the unique experience of working hands-on at childrens homes and schools in the Haitian communities where WWV works. Interns will have the opportunity to practice different theories as well. Automotive Maintenance: Our AM Interns will have the experience of educating and training Haitian individuals in automotive repairs. Interns will have the opportunity to practice task/project management and acquired educational skills. Development/Marketing: Our DM Interns (Haiti & U.S.) Interns will have the opportunity to see how a non-profit organization operates and assist with community partnerships, event planning and sponsorship, foundation research and writing, social media and other innovative ideas. Volunteer In Africa ( for travel to Ghana)

Since 2004, The Sankofa Center, a 501(c)(3) U.S. operated charity has educated village youths and adults about how HIV/AIDS is transmitted and prevented through artistic expression. They educate while changing perceptions using culturally comprehensive methods- African dance-dramas- in Ghana, West Africa. They also conduct free counseling, rapid HIV testing in village outreach tours, and provide links to treatment and life-saving drugs for thousands of women, men, and children in Ghana. Programs consisting of a local crew and cohorts of international interns from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. run throughout the year. Program Description: The Sankofa Center fuses tradtional African dance, drama, & contemporary art genres with W.H.O. health information to educate Ghanaian youths & adults about HIV/AIDS. These very necessary performances are both entertaining & educational. Their program utilizes the vibrant energies of interns & a local team to tour various villages & schools to help eradicate HIV/AIDS in Africa through culturally appropriate methods! They also conduct risk assessment/risk reduction counseling & free rapid HIV testing during village outreach to link those needing treatment with medical partners as outlined by Ghana's National AIDS Control Program. International interns are accomodated with full room & board in The Sankofa Center Compound dormitory with exposure to real world traditional Ghanaian life with trusted host families living in the compound. Cultural exposure is also enhanced through weekend trips to popular tourist & beach destinatons. However, interns have the security of Western trained local staff, health and safety protocols, and American trained coordinators & staff liasions to assist interns throughout the duration of their tenure. On completion interns receive a Certificate of Completion commemorating their service providing a great tool for educational and personal advancement.
