Instructional Design Intern
Rady Children's Hospital San Diego —
San Diego, CA
At Rady Childrens Hospital San Diego, we are dedicated to excellence in care: the latest technology, the best equipment, the most progressive research and the finest teaching. We seek to rise above all expectations because we believe that the life of every child is precious.
The Patient Access & Registration department exists to assist families with the registration process and access to our hospital and satellite facilities. We strive to deliver world class customer service to every patient and their families. Through staff education, we can work towards achieving success in improving patient wait times, streamlining the insurance eligibility verification process, proper patient financial services and revenue cycle administration.
The Instructional Design interns will play an important role in developing eLearning modules and printed training materials and collaborate with Patient Access & Registration trainers to increase the number of training resources available to staff.
In this internship, the Instructional Design interns will be responsible for analyzing training needs, working with subject matter experts to gather information, storyboard the training materials to be developed, design and develop instructionally sound training. The interns will have the opportunity to work with experienced and professional trainers, instructional designers and training analysts to learn effective training methods, including the Captivate authoring tool.
Intern applicants must be able to commit to 24 unpaid hours per week for a minimum of 6 months to qualify.
