As an intern at the Agape Community, you will receive HANDS ON EXPERIENCE in education in nonviolence, retreat work, vegetarianism, sustainability, and homesteading. Interns live at the Agape Community, and while there is not a stipend (a stipend can be arranged for 9 month interns) room, board, and essentials (toiletries, etc) are included. 60% of the food consumed at the Agape Community is harvested from the large organic garden on site. There is also a manual transmission car that may be available for use by interns. The Agape Community is always busy with interns, volunteers, and visitors, so there are always people nearby to communicate and visit with. If you do need some quiet time, however, there is plenty of time and space for your own personal and spiritual growth. We look forward to hearing from you!

The gallery is open to the public six or seven-days per week and represents nationally and internationally recognized artists generally working in contemporary and pop culture subjects as well as a select group of local artists. With plantation shutters and lively colors, the exterior of 12 Gallagher Lane is reminiscent of Slonem's two restored plantation homes in Louisiana - Albania and Lakeside; where he resides when not at his loft in Manhattan.
